"LIFE ON THE WATER"
Freddy Vaca
entered the extreme world of Jet Ski racing in early 2004 following an
offer to join the Sims Racing
Team. Freddy pilot's the Sims Racing
water craft powered by Yamaha in both limited
and super stock classes.
Freddy quickly joined his seasoned teams mates,
Jeff Wright and Jimmy Parshal as the dominating
force in Region 5.
Within one year Freddy dominated the sport of Jet
Ski Racing, winning regional and national awards in
both classes.
Freddy
then went on to qualify
for the 2004 Dos Equis World Finals in Lake Havasu City,
Arizona as a first year rookie. Freddy competed against
the best Novice riders from
around the world. During moto one after
taking the hole shot, Freddy was hit with a streak
of bad luck when his water craft experienced a
mechanical malfunction while in 1st place. In
moto two, Freddy would regain his number one spot
earning him 8th overall in the world.
Never loosing focus or
his hunger to be number one, Freddy moved into the
2005 race season as the "man to beat".
During the 2005, Skat-Trak World Finals, Freddy
suffered yet another mechanical malfunction that
would cost him another world title in 2005, Freddy
finished 6th over all in the world.
In 2006, Freddy moved
up into the Expert and Amateur racing classes where
he competes today on a national and international
level. Freddy's taken a different approach to
sponsorship than many racers, going outside the PWC
industry for support from companies such as American
Airlines, Coca-Cola, Pinnacle Technical Resources,
Inc., Excelsior Services and the Houston Real-estate
Group, Inc.
Freddy
has earned the respect of competitors both on the
water and off. He has captured the hearts of
race fans from around the world.
