STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA June 5th 2005:  On a sunny Sunday morning at Lake Carl Blackwell, the SCWP staff geared up for race thee of the Texas Championship Jet Sport Tour.  At 9:00 am sharp, Chris Codina, Race Director called for his morning mandatory riders meeting.  As the staff took to their positions, the smell and sound of race fuel and pounding motors took over the air waves.  As the fans and spectators lined up to cheer on the racers, race one slowly approached the line.  At the snap of the band, the race was on.

As race 5 (1200 limited class) took to the track, Vaca piloting the coca-cola sponsored Yamaha GP1200R took a commanding lead early in moto one to finish 1st followed by team mate Jimmy Parshal finishing second.  In moto two, Vaca was not so lucky suffering from a broken throttle linkage as they approached the first turn.

During race 9 (amateur 1200 open) moto one, Vaca trailed team mate Jimmy Parshal finishing 3rd.  As they approached the first turn in moto two, Vaca suffered yet another motor malfunction putting him at the back of the pack having to work his way up to the front.  With only 6 laps, Vaca was not able to regain his position and finished third.

Vaca still leads the region as the overall points champion with 128 in Amateur R/A 1300 open and 133 Novice R/A 1300 Ltd.  Additional information can be found at http://www.scwp.net
