2006 APBA Watercross National
Tour - May 6th & 7th in Parker
Arizona -
RPM Racing Enterprises, in
conjunction with the American
Power Boat Association (APBA),
kicked off the US 2006 APBA
Watercross National Tour Rounds
1 & 2, May 6 & 7, at the
beautiful Bluewater Resort &
Casino in Parker, Arizona.
Over 120 competitors from all
across the country competed in
this highly successful event.
During Moto 1 of Expert 1200
Limited, Vaca led the entire
race until the final lap when
his race craft suffered a
mechanical issues causing Vaca
to be towed off the race course.
Later that day, during the first
Moto 1 of Pro-Am 1200 Open, Vaca
was hit while headed into the
first turn causing sever damage
to his left hand and being
ejected from his race craft.
Vaca was immediately rushed to a
local hospital where he was
treated and released. Vaca
received 9 stitches and massive
swelling to his left hand after
being struck by a 700 pound race
craft.
