The Cesar Chavez Learning Center hosted it's annual
Career Day on Wednesday May 17. Several
professionals from various careers and backgrounds
were on hand to speak to our 4th, 5th
and 6th grade students.
Sr. Vice President of
Pinnacle Technical Resources, Inc. and Jet Ski racer Freddy Vaca
volunteered as one of the guest speakers. "I
love the opportunity to speak to our youth. If
I can encourage just one person, then my job is
done", Vaca says. Each
Speaker visited with 4 different class rooms with
about 18 students for 20 minutes.
This experience will
offer these students the opportunity to learn about
many different educational experiences as well as
occupational experiences. The event was
organized by Scott Mauro, a School Counselor.
